It's my daughter's first Sabbath gig, sadly her last too Only my third Sabbath gig. First saw them with Ronnie James Dio letsrock at Birmingham Odeon 1980(?), then Milton Keynes Bowl Ozzfest'98. At that rate the next one would be 2037!

Sabbath were top notch !! Ozzy's voice was much better than i expected And he never fucked up once 😀 Iommi and butler, as always , never missed a beat Iommi is , for me , the best guitarist ever and Once again proved it! You are all going to love it! Oh by the way DO NOT miss the support band they are called Rival Sons and were brilliant i've already ordered The cd and thats the first time i've ever done that! What a great night ! Enjoy!

Brilliant! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll look out for the support. I really enjoyed Uncle Acid and the Dead Beats last time in 2013 and their relentless rhythm and heads down pose reminded me of a certain young group of long ago. Maybe a cross between early Sabbath and early Quo....?!!
Does anyone know if there are any pre or post-gig events going on, particularly the last night in Brum? I did have a look for Sabbath forum's/MB's but couldn't find anything.

We goin to Leeds on thursday & a cant wait - Sabbath & Rival Sons whoo hoo! letsrock So whatcha think ? Thought both bands were superb, Rival Sons have the potential to go a long way & be around sometime, as for Sabbath must admit i had me doubts about Ozzy beforehand but to be honest i thought his singing was as good as its been for a long long time he nailed the songs, Tony Iommi is an absolute legend & looked fit and well his solo during Dirty Women was worth the ticket price right there! we had floor tickets so were quite close and it seemed like the band were really enjoying themselves, all in all a class night first time visit to Leeds arena well impressed with it letsrock

Rival Sons are one of my favourite 'new' bands. Found them through Classic Rock Magazine and have been buying all their cds since. As for Sabbath, I deliberately missed them last year as I didn't want to see them on a festival any more. I would go to a concert hall for them though. Iommi has made a complete recovery from C. so who knows?

Just a small nugget of information here. I used to work with their sound engineer/tour manager Richard `Spock` Wall. He was with them from the beginning until 1978. He was like an unofficial fifth member like our very own Bob Young. I still see him round, top man.
