Wow! Acording to this the ENTIRE gig was filmed! Wow! What is ATV? Is it a company that still is around? Could there maybe be a possibility that they still have all the filmed material saved in their archive? If so WOW what a treassure, a real holy grail! Can some brittish fan please contact them and ask?

Even if the footage does exist, I wouldn't hold out much hope of being able to get hold of a copy.

I was going to ask Colin if ATVland, Birmingham B1 2JP is still there? But as he's flounced I googled it. I found out that the ATV studios in Birmingham were demolished but maybe there is a lost vault of goodies in the basement of the listed part of the building that still remains....? Wishful thinking I know! Yes I as there at Stafford many moons ago. Funny thing is I don't remember seeing the tv coverage that was reportedly on a week or so later. Not sure why I would have missed it but good that some is now on youtube....

A programme of the 3 tracks of the gig coupled with the highlights of the other award winners on Saturday, was shown, I think on the last Thursday of the month at 10:30 on Thames TV & 11:15 on Anglia Television, so I was able to watch the Quo performance twice.

Someone close to Quo probably ended up with them. I don't think tape reels with the label 'Status Quo' on them would be binned without contacting the management or such at the time first

I reckon he never did the solo's any justice on ROLD.Looking back it's ironic the last of the original band was the weak link in the chain.I wonder what a real red hot guitarist would have made of Quo's classics,Rossi only played well on Piledriver after that it slowly got worse.Took about 20 years to be total shit but as soon as AL got the boot it was do what you like time.

Wonder what it would be like if they all played like him.I don't think he's got worse but without Parfitt to look at and listen too and his shit playing is more obvious now.He hated the FF because he's a lazy man and didn't like the warmth that AL and JC got.Insecurity and jealousy go hand in hand. He's the center of attention now and jeez his playing's rubbish.
