Don't know about you, but it still doesn't feel real somehow.

It still doesn't feel real, I still can't and don't want to believe it and still feel incredibly sad when thinking about our Ricky.

Hi All, Unfortunately his passing will reverberate through the years as he was loved by all Quo fans of all Quo's incarnations...

There hasn't been a day gone by when I haven't thought about Rick since he passed away. My girlfriend & I was visiting my mother on Christmas Eve,we were just about to leave when I thought I'd check my Facebook while my girlfriend was putting her coat on..and I read the statement by Simon Porter that Rick had passed away..I said NO when I read the first couple of sentences..my girlfriend & mother said what's happened?..as I said Rick has just died I started crying..I'm 46..I kept saying why I'm I crying I don't know him..both my mother & girlfriend said it's because he's been a hero of yours since you were 12-13 years old..you know all about him. For years I used to say why do fans cry when famous people die..it's not like they knew them personally..well now I know.. RIP Rick there will never be another character or guitarist like you. #LoveYouMan

Those gifs that Geoff posted have given me another "Life On Mars" moment.
The excitement back in the 70's from the first time I saw this amazing stage movement fusing with driving raw boogie sound was something that has never been matched again to my eyes. The movement of both body and music so incredibly synchronised
A groove of total and mesmerising power. It was impossible to be in the crowd facing all that going on and not to rock and groove back in unison. That in itself was a buzz that could never be surpassed again.
It just didn't/doesn't get better than that. Sublime. letsrock
Time has long since moved on though the reunions gave a glimpse of that greatness in an older and slower stage version (no surprise) So I knew that level of awesome greatness would never be seen again even before we lost Rick, but that realisation has only really hit home now that he has finally gone
I'm stuck well and truly in the 70's and will never leave...I was incredibly lucky I was there to be part of it. I fully realise now what a massive Quo fan I really have been - that at least is one consolation that can not be taken away

Well said @catlady Yes we are lucky to have experienced the Quo feeling. I don't think there are many other bands who shared such love and interaction at gigs with their fans. Life on Mars moment... ? What a comforting thought to be back in the 70's....

I am not sure that this has even sinned in for me yet. I also think that a funeral is important.
Considering doing convention, but think it maybe very emotional.

I think I blocked it out over Christmas ... Had just walked the neighbour's dog and got a text from my mate..sat on the sofa stunned...been a bit difficult over Christmas as we kinda live separate lives so was just trying to get through it whilst doing some food for the teenagers..it has sunk in for me now..I don't feel like playing Quo recently for some reason.
The thing I keep thinking about was seeing Rick bashing out Caroline for the FF in 2014..how much power he had..and even created a thread about it...then Davy said take a look at the power in Blue Eyed Lady..clip from FF tour in 2013 with Rick in the leather jacket..now only a few years later he has gone.
Would love to see Quo again but without Rick is not Quo so won't go.
I might go you know if they called it Francis Rossi Quo that way I could try to enjoy but still not sure.
Last gig Hammersmith 2014 at the Distillers with Stated Quo gig beforehand..not a bad way to remember Rick.
Peace and love to all.

I've just shown this to my wife who said "now I understand".

When I first heard the news I sorta brushed it to the back of my mind because of the countless number of times Rick has bounced back... I was emotionless about the whole thing until I started watching Quo videos, especially the N.E.C '89 gig with the spotlight on Rick pounding away the intro to Caroline. It's just a weird thing to think about him actually being gone, not having the ability to be within his presence and see him be the powerhouse he is on stage! Such a terrible twist of fate for a man that had quite a bit in the pipeline for 2017...

I was at work when i heard he had passed away was on Instagram someone i know had put a Quo photo up and RIP Rick at first i was like WTF left a comment No way?? Checked new websites and Facebook and it had all been confirmed that last hour of my shift i was in shock as i didn't expect that on XMAS eve. After i got in i played Live Alive Quo NEC 1982.
Always been a Quo fan and was going to see them last December with my cousin then Rick had his heart attack and ended not going as even we know Quo without Rick is not Quo along with Alan and John.
