Why oh why oh why did they put the orchestral strings in? Ruins it. The guitars, drum and his voice work so perfectly for the first 57 seconds, and would've been just fine for the whole thing!

It's the desire for flim flam. The Quo camp seem to be addicated to it, and yet have never been very good at it.

Agreed. A beautiful song originally, and this version sounding decent until all the Aquostic pish kicks in.

Actually, look at that fucking album cover. It makes me angry now that their last venture was this undignified, cheesy garbage. Rick deserved better. The band deserved better.

I like this version. There's much about Aquostic I dislike, but not this track.

Still baffles me that Porter got Bryan Adams over to photograph the band, naked.
Not have him play or sing on the record but, photograph them naked....

Personally, I blame that Jeff Lynne character. He ruined all those great ELO songs with those bloody strings.

Personally, I blame that Jeff Lynne character. He ruined all those great ELO songs with those bloody strings. He knew/knows where and how to use them effectively, to be a part of the song. And that's the problem with this track: they're not part of the song, they're cheesy backing shoved in on the side and not needed.
