I'm sure all of us have a song or two where we consider the live version, either one particular performance or just in general to be superior to the studio version, either for better sound, more energy, less polished, whatever, so I'd be interested in seeing what people on here come up with.
This is one from me to start it off .

This one really kicks in about the 4:45 mark and does not stop. Dave Hlubek (left side), what a guitar player he is.

Will have to look more into Molly Hatchet. Wow! Great choice, I've always loved Molly hatchet, in a way I've considered them the American Quo, from their strong boogie roots through many line up changes and deaths but even now they still rock the hell out of a concert hall if you get to see them. My favourite track of theirs is live and also a cover, that I consider superior to the original. I love the slide guitar work and of course for the me the piano but the final soloing section blows the roof off.
