I notice that a few of the tracks on this comp are due to be released on a vinyl bonus disc on the 2nd part of "The Vinyl Collection"; "1981 - 1996". See here: statusquo.boards.net/thread/4539/vinyl-collection-1981-1996Are we to assume that these have been mastered for vinyl but released on CD, or have the select few tracks that are out on this comp been re-remastered for CD, or not at all? And does anyone know who is doing the remastering? Or, who did the vinyl mastering for the "1972 - 1980" batch? Too many questions.

Pretty sure Andy Pearce is in charge of all the releases, as he has been since the Piledriver 2CD deluxe. The transfers likely are the same ones, though the final mastering may differ slightly. Also nobody has commented on the great fact that they included some of John Eden's remixes! HYB in particular, very nice...

Are all RAOTW songs included the John Eden remixes, or are some the original mix?

According to jim's post, Hard Time is the original mix and CGYM is not the remix but it might be the 1991 re-recording.

You'd think those bastions of the set Creepin' and The Oriental would be on an 'essential' collection.

Nobody commented on the cover! Pretty explicit faces there eh? Francis in particular...
