It's a shame it's so complicated. A major bit of Quo history that deserves the love Quoincidence is giving it. It should be shared but CG is correct. Thinking is it worth getting in touch with the management see if we could sort something out but Simon Porters an arsehole so he won't bother giving it a thought. Maybe trying to get hold of Alan Lancaster and see if he could push something? After all, he is one of the performers? Then maybe trying to get RP involved?

I've not liked passing this on Quoincidence as I'm a big a fan as you are but as I know the laws, I thought I should pass them on. And I totally understand your view of their manager. All I will say is that they did release the Final Fling DVD and they do keep releasing old recordings from the FF era in all these new deluxe editions. So it may not be as negative as you fear. In the end, keeping people buying Quo is what its all about. Have a think about it. No need to be hasty. I have a feeling that you will get this out legally and I simply want to avoid you getting sued.

I was honestly thinking that when Lord Flash/Curious Girl first mentioned the copyright issue cause I doubt Alan would have any issues, maybe even Bob Young? but it's worth a shot

Now that trailer has wetted my appetite. letsrock
I absolutely love the pictures you shared from that gig not long ago. This is one of my favourite shots And yes it was a labour of love me "remastering" the Milton Keynes gig. Ever since I first laid eyes on the tapes for the first time it's been my favourite Quo release. More From The Road was always the better tape for me purely because I loved Forty Five Hundred Times, 18 minutes of bliss for my young self

I agree, ownership of images can be really difficult. Also if the band don't want it released then it does not get released. George Harrison blocked the re-release of the Let It Be film for years. I think it was also written in his will that Oliva Harrison must not agree to it either. I have also heard of rumours that Freddie Mercury recorded a video after These are The Days Of Our Lives for the song Don't Try So Hard. If that is true it would be a major peice of history however he was supposed to be very very frail when it was done. So the management, Brian and Roger have all said that it will never be shown. John Deacon is supposed to be in the video with him and this argument over the footage contributed to him quitting the band. Though I think this is not true.

Same here it does seem though that after the financial arguments were finally settled with the reunions. Old material featuring Alan and John is being re-released more regularly. Remember the Sweedish Sessions were booked for an offical release nearly 10 years ago. That was pulled at the last minuite, so was the original releases of the BBC sessions.

With the 1973 concert first, I now have the Piledriver deluxe version for the 1973 concert. I use the live at the NEC disc for the first half as it still has the (Rap) in it. While I made my own disc for the 2nd half from the BBC boxset. It works better, hopefully one day the Full NEC concert will be released on disc. It was supposed to be in 2005 but it was also pulled.

I remember someone sent me the Tommy Vance Friday Rock Show recording of the gig with the talking still in it and the 'you'll never walk alone' chants before Rain. Only problem with it is that it's still Hold You Back from a the first night. Knebworth '90 was a planned release with it as well but I guess that was cancelled cause they don't own their performance. Many planned releases in the past few years that have been canned

While on the BBC box set he is not. Yes the CD release has a different version. As the intro is completly different.

I think a bottle or something hits his guitar during the end jig before the last chorus cause you see a roadie run on and pick something up. Frustrates me how they release some of their live material

As it's probably not going to set the charts alight & be a real money spinner for the band, due to it's somewhat niche appeal, perhaps an agreement could be made were by Quo authorise you to sell the product at a price that allows you to recoup costs & maybe raise some money for charity at the same time - like Nordoff Robbins, who they've previously supported, or the Dogs Trust who they're supporting via the Dog Of Two Head beer.

Just a thought about the cover of the DVD, I thought having MILTON KEYNES '84 across the bottom, under Rossi, Parfitt & Lancaster.
