just an update QI. i cherry picked two, caroline and dirtywater from your remastered link. jeez, i'm no expert but they sound absolutely awesome! add a nice clear video too and it just could well be "quo perfection" ! well done... You mean, like this? Thank you very much! I have to agree with Dirty Water sounding "absolutely awesome"... you can hear Petes kick a lot more, and his kit in general sounds a lot better. I have to say that this gig is probably their best shot gig, but some bad editing let it down in certain places... Its scary, sad and amazing all at the same time watching that brilliant clip of a song I love(d) in the set that was perfectly placed just ahead of 4500X
That just sounds so good, takes you back to the gigs and how it really sounded. And the atmosphere leaps out of the computer screen and back into the senses to be relived. Its sad and scary though how unrecognisable it is to the present
That clip of DW is a great illustration of what I said a few days back about how a Francis inspired country pop song could be turned into a whole band effort and be elevated to something credible that fits perfectly to comprise the light and shade of a great rock gig.
Completely the opposite of sloppy, low common denominator parodied karaoke.
Should also be added that its also a very good example of what a good holding job that Pete did after the departure of John. The elevation of a song played live was still possible with him around.

Let's not get over-personal gents.
As Catlady might say, 'Stay on Topic'.

Done a real good job with this, the picture looks 10x better and sound is a major improvement too,
What happens once the remaster is finally finished? Will you be selling copies of it? I'd love to get my hands on a copy.
Fantastic job.

It'll be worth the wait mate, you'll go down in Quo folklore, and hopefully you'll make a small mint for yourself as well!

New-ish news on an official release of MK.
I asked if there is any news regarding the MK release, and if we should expect something in 2019, as it's the 35th Anniversary of the gig.
"None at all, it’s a long story but it will come at some stage, we are waiting for someone to complete a job"
Possibly still tracking down who holds the rights to it, since the company went out of business, but sounds promising?

Ah that's interesting and very heartening to think we could actually get a new official remastered End Of The Road, even if the wait is long!!!!

Ah that's interesting and very heartening to think we could actually get a new official remastered End Of The Road, even if the wait is long!!!! I know they have the audio of the gig and thats been remixed, as we heard via the Milton Keynes Medley on a Quo compilation last year... Not too sure on the footage though. Last I heard is they was asking Bob Young about it cause Quo don't have it... burnt down in a warehouse fire my arse "The Medley was re-mastered (mastering was Andy Pearce) from the original tape for a vinyl box we are doing, I just thought it would be nice to put that and the other mixes (12") on the budget CD in case people thought it was exclusive to the box and didn't want to fork out big cash just for the LP. I'll be speaking with Bob this week so I'll check on EOTR" ---------------------------------------------------------------- "Good to hear from you - at the moment we are trying to find the rights owned for the show and visual element - we have to find this before we can put the project together." ---------------------------------------------------------------- "our vaults don't have the tapes of the show, but they may be under something else, so we are double checking. Once I can sort the legal bits, I'll be in touch and we can move from there." Cheers

Cheers He's waiting for them to get in touch so they can make it the official release - although fans may be shocked to find the quality of the product is somewhat higher than they've become used to with many recent releases.
