Rossi admitting in an interview he was shocked and surprised to hear Rick's comments on not liking the Acoustic music and being a rocker at heart
A very public falling out has begun....So, come on then, who here had it down for Rick, Alan and John vs Francis in 2016?

It's maybe a good thing we're witnessing the death throes of a once brilliant band, as Francis is already trying to rewrite history: "Rick's not really a rocker, we found him at Butlins..." Rick is more rock than the rest of the sorry gang, CQ is really becoming Cabaret Quo.

He didn't say Rick's not a rocker. Rick is obviously a rocker. He said summat along the lines that Rick is presenting himself as a rocker now, but he loved and played the cabaret stuff when he was younger. (And indeed that is what he was playing on the Steve Wright show.) What seems pretty clear is that Rick has not taken to the Aquostic experience, and I bet that is about the sitting down and the strumming. (He was never a sit-down player.) it seems Rick never found the rock performances a physical challenge, whereas Francis has for many years. Rick is also now physically uncomfortable with the acoustic guitar, which is kind of weird, but I can see where he's coming from. I reckon we will see him out there with the tele again before many moons have passed.

Francis has never pretended to be a real rocker, he always says he mostly dislikes hard rock stuff.

Francis has never pretended to be a real rocker, he always says he mostly dislikes hard rock stuff. It made him so much money though. Without the Status Quo name Francis Rossi is totally irrelevant.

Let's be honest Rick would've probably liked a proper acoustic album not a Country/Orchestral album. (Stripped bare my arse)

If he'd been serious about it he'd have wanted to release Margherita Time & In The Army Now as singles under his own name. They were tracks that could have given him the platform to build his solo career upon. He bottled it!
