www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LVY37K9Thought Dear John sounded promising, but Rossi's vocal is brutal. Completely shot. Same in Lies and Little Dreamer. Can't hold a note for toffee. What in the name of f**k is Is Someone Rocking Your Heart? Utter garbage. The worst Quo album ever.

Thanks for the link.
I thought initially that only Francis was singing but Rick sings 5 out of 19.
To my ears neither of them sound as good as they did - vocally. Not awful but simply getting on.
Interesting to listen to the snippets. eg: Backwater wasn't so bad as I feared but in the end, I'd rather stick with the originals.

The only clip i remotely enjoyed was belavista man. Why do an inferior acoustic of the already acoustic living on an island ffs?? For me its not the vocals that bother me so much, could forgive them for being a bit croaky given their age. Its just the acoustic thing itself, it's BORING!! And one emotion i never used to feel when listening to Quo, was boredom.

Remember when the Beatles brought out the Anthology series - all the early demos and studio recordings . Listening to those snippets by Status H2O , makes me think they've come full circle , releasing demos . Some of those snippets sound like they are out takes from Rick and Francis's appearance on the Steve Wright show ( the one on the BBC Cd ) .

I listened to the 1 minute previews of each track on iTunes. I have to say that this is just about the worst thing I've ever heard. There is absolutely no imagination in the arrangements and the decision to become an acoustic act is only going to expose the fact that they were never great vocalists anyway and that age has now shot their voices totally. Belavista Man was a slower blues number that should have been simple to translate into an acoustic version but they failed.Resurrection has a simply terrible vocal by Rick, the new songs are bilge and ROLD has accordian in it. The biggest crime of this album is that it's just so BORING.

Listening to the album right now, the deluxe version isn't on Spotify, too bad because I was really looking forward to Lies and Little Dreamer.
Oh well, back to the album: After the first listen, I really enjoy Ice In The Sun, Resurrection, Mess Of The Blues and on of my all time favorite QUO songs; Jam Side Down (seriously, this song should have been the lead single for this album, so damn catchy) Overall, I actually enjoy this one, not all of the songs, but I got 4 songs on my playlist from it and when the deluxe version comes to Spotify I will have Little Dreamer and Lies there as well.

Complete and utter wank from start to finish. The 3 new songs are particularly shite, especially the Is Someone Rocking Your Heart debacle. And who on earth woke up one day and thought it was a good idea to have another crack at Little Dreamer......WTF

I can't be arsed to check the track list for both albums but I would have thought that Address Book and Tommy would have have been their ideal choices.........not unless.......no they can't.........no they wouldn't.........AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! THEY'RE SAVING THEM FOR AQOUSTIC 3!!!!!!!!!!! HELL THE FCUK NO!!!!!!!!!!!

Admin: I was actually kinda interested to see what answer he could come up with ----- Back to the discussion, I think that the post 1986 songs translates really well into this format, I would've loved an album with just those songs, or at least some more of them.

Fair enough. And freewilly by all means give a reply that's not simply an insult. But we have to be clear that simple insult throwing 'cos a member doesn't like another members taste isn't acceptable. Banter, jokes are fine though. And if that was banter FW, then its hard to get from something written down.

For years I thought they should record some of that stuff. Eventually I realised they were just having a bit of fun and it woujldn't stand up as an act - Butlins maybe, but they moved on from there, didn't they? Then they went and did it! I feel I'm being a bit of a wet blanket, but it's thin on creative imagination, which they always tried for in their best years.
