To me, it's more than disinterest or thoughtlessness on Rossi's part. He must have been the one and only person that didn't want the jig at those gigs. And he knew that.
It was, IMO, a conscious and quite deliberate middle finger to the FF and their fans.

Totally agree , Francis must have some kind of control paranoia , why not do the jig ? it's integral to the song . 'Kin l , it would have lifted the roof off at " ' ammersmiff " . He's agreed to do the gigs , put past differences behind him (and the others too ) , but didn't want to really push the boat out , even with Alan prompting him in their last ever appearance in Dublin . Do a show to a certain level and no more , stay in the comfort zone , leave them wanting more ......

You cannot buy what he delivered to Quo. A true showman.

You could also add that Alan and all of his family were extremely approachable , willing to talk Quo , polite , even if the questions were monotonous to them . John and Gillie were also around the venues etc , and probably the same as the Lancaster's , but I didn't directly speak to them . Didn't see Rick , and Francis as we all know , clears off straight away after the gig .
