I have just received confirmation that Duroc will indeed double my ticket value and make a £600 donation to my local Hospice.
They are also sending the Hospice two tickets and a set of meet and greet passes for the Belfast Show.
Folks, only positivity about this. Everyone is a winner.

Fair play, indeed.
But the attitude that Porter has that he himself is somehow blameless for damaging the Quo name still exists. He shouldn't be allowed to just carry on as if nothing has happened.

Love to hear Francis' reaction to that... "What ya mean, a meet and greet? What?!" Anyways, well done Duroc.

That's very magnanimous of you, dq. Fairplay to you for being rather more gracious than seems to have been the case with certain other parties.

Once I had made my point and won the principal of it, I don't need to make any more of it. Sometime a bad winner can be worse than a bad loser. There is also quite a personal gain to me through this donation, I will share that later, so for now, I am just grateful that the matter is resolved, and my charity is a big winner.

DerryQuo : Very generous £300 donation from yourself and a man of your word.
Great also to hear your negotiations resulted in the additional £300 from Quo and tickets etc., It was only right.
The local hospice truly is worthy for the great and selfless work it does.
In a way I wish you were brought along by Simon as guest to the concert, even if I know without Rick you would not want to go. It would be a sort of apology or resolution from Quo. From past experience and personally meeting Simon and Francis he does eventually come around and go with the flow. Life is too short.
Perhaps Francis will come along and deliver the donation to the hospice and perform an acoustic session himself!

I think the last response I got from Simon was more balanced, so perhaps he does settle a little. This is a good outcome for all involved, as far as I am concerned the matter is dealt with. I wish that they would advertise a refund more widely, but that's not my fight, and nor can I win it.

Hi All, While on one hand you can give Duroc a nod of the head for fair play my own thought is on the other hand it was a silly action by them to argue the toss in the first place. As for a handful of fans wanting a refund that will be their terminology for we were wrong..
Geoff.
