Hi All, Just one thing comes to mind here for me as far as the new songs that were written! Surely they could have written a few more for another new material album ? While I can listen to the Aquostic and will listen to Aquostic 2 I am certain that most fans would have preferred the debut of new tracks on a new album and not just as make up tracks on a second acoustic offering....
I mean they could have even taken a leaf out of Van Halens book my trawling their recorded tracks they originally thought no good for whatever album back when and to be fair Van Halens last album sounded good to me, so no reason why Quo could not do the same unless Francis put's his solo project before the bands nowadays ?......
Geoff. I thought Quo was Francis' solo project! Yep, even more so now that Rick's been sidelined.

I rate Steeleye Span. Their only real shortcoming is/was their plinky plonky approach to rhythm section, particularly bass. I was always hoping they would learn something from Status Quo ... IAC Hold You Back isn't a jig, and is no more "Celtic" this time than it was last time, IMHO. PS He thinks he sounds better with the girl singers? I never thought Francis had Cloth Ears but now I am beginning to wonder

Francis doesn't hate the FF, he just doesn't feel like doing it anymoreI think that's fair enough, I really do. It's good if he's striking a different tone now. There was never any need to diss the FF, diss Alan and John's playing / stamina, diss Alan's demo's and accuse everyone who wanted more of "being stuck in the 70's". I actually edited that out of a longer section where he does go on about being stuck in the 70s in a way. "Certain things back then were fantastic (...) but I don't want to be living in the past - I'm still making my own history! (...)"
