The wording is fair enough ,as it's factually correct that there are SQ fans who want a refund. It doesn't say it's all fans
Sorry though DQ, a press release from one person, representing one person, is not news worthy
To be news worthy, the release would need to come from a Quo related organisation, eg fan club or message board
A release from this board would first (imo) need a debate and a vote, plus the support of the moderator's
But I don't think the band will back down. To do so is to effectively agree there can be no Quo without Rick

Im not so sure about that as in it takes one match to light a fire. I'd reckon there'd be many people who'd have exactly the same opinion but just couldn't be bothered making a fuss. Good on DQ for backing himself. We all have our opinions about Quo 'or CQ' if you wish but the fact is Quo is Francis and Rick. I've always though it odd that Rhino and Andy,as very long time band members, should've been up there alongside Francis and Rick whenever media appearances were required, but no it's always been Rick n Francis gibbering away. I obviously haven't any idea how widely Ricks retirement has been promoted over your way but I'd betcha my boots that many of the Joe Blow public don't know and will be disappointed to know of Ricks retirement from the band when they turn up at the venue. Ricks not just any musician that can be simply replaced with a 'hey ho chaps let's carry on, not many will notice as its all about the music and the hits attitude.... no, Rick is far bigger than that and to a lot of people he IS the reason people go to see Quo! Yes I agree with what DQ is doing as in its a simple highlighting the fact that Quo management should be doing the honourable thing of an opportunity for Quo fans, who've bought tickets for the LNOTE tour, a refund if not happy with Ricks unfortunate no-show. Maybe only a small percentage will take advantage of it but a refund, on principal, is simply the right thing to do.

That looks like a pretty good start ...
Someone might follow this up to see if you can give it a bit more substance. That "one penny" thing might go somewhere - it's a good quote :-)

I'm not looking for a refund, as I wasn't going to see CQ again with or without Rick. However it appears that the majority of CQ ''fans'' are happy to accept Quo without Rick and Porter would have everyone believe the same. Yet they haven't the balls or the courage of their convictions to offer a refund to the minority of fans who would dare to look for one. Perhaps legally they don't have to, Morally they should do, Rossi/Porter are happy enough to use AC/DC as an example of line up change, pity they wouldn't use them as an example of how to correctly look after the fans. Offer refunds ffs, and for once do the right thing.!!
