.....JCQ and FRQ, two bands who are exactly as much "real" Quo. Frame may have written far more songs than Spud, but exactly as Spud he is only 25% of Status Quo. In my world Frame has no more right than Spud to use the name Status Quo, so until Frame adds his name (Francis Rossis Quo), I won't see his band, but stick to John Coghlans Quo instead, as they are far more true to the original Classic Quo style.

Some people have payed £199 to be in the front row to see Francis Rossi's Quo.
I could of stood in the front row at a recent Jonn Coghlan's Quo gig for £13 and in my opinion, a far more enjoyable set.

looking at the way things have ended up, John seems to be enjoying Rock n Roll/Quo on his terms, without all the bull that goes on in ''official Quo''- looking back on it now, perhaps John leaving the band in 82 was the best thing to happen him, and chances are it might even have saved his life'!! (Ok steady on colm> it's Friday I'll have a beer) quojc

Shook hands with the entire front two rows at the Flowerpot - briefly talked to me and my mate after the gig - signed my Quo CD... You must have caught him on a good night. I think since the success of the reunion gigs and his own band has got more attention/bookings, he's really up for talking to fans again. I met him again last year at his gig in London and he was very chatty. |
