This is just like going to see the Stones without Keith Richards. Glad I didn't buy a ticket this time. This is a farce - it's "the first tour of the electrics - without Rick"

MCD emailed me back saying it's nowt to do with them as Quo(Porter and Rossi) made the decision themselves to carry on. In other words, ask them not us MCD FB Page have posted the Statement about Rick and end it by simply wishing Rick well from everyone at MCD. They will probably say they've booked Status Quo, even though it's not, if Rossi has the rights to Status Quo, legally they have anyone looking for a refund screwed.

Response fron Songkick when asked for a refund:" Really sorry you’re disappointed by the change of the lineup for this tour.
We’ve been confirmed the shows are still happening as planned so unfortunately we won’t be able to refund your order, as per our terms of sale.
Tickets should be dispatched 2-4 weeks before the show, so once you receive them, you can pass them on to another fan. If you need the address changed, make sure to send it at least a month before the concert date.
Apologies we can’t offer more flexibility here!"
Surely the key words here are "the shows are still happening as planned" The fact that Rick won't be involved means that the shows ARENT happening as planned , would that not entitle anyone to a refund on those grounds?

The official press release for the tour said:
"Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, Andy Bown, John ‘Rhino’ Edwards and Leon Cave will plug back in and bring their thunderous electric live show back to the nation’s venues for the last time. Packed with hits, both new and old, taken from that unbelievable back catalogue. If you love Status Quo, you need to be there; if you’ve never before seen this truly legendary act play a full full-throttle no-nonsense electric set, you need to be there!"
Surely this is the part we should focus on? They said Rick will be involved now he's not therefore.......
I know we're clutching at straws but got to give it a go!

I shall persevere with sending them these quotes , it just isn't "the shows as advertised" those words alone should be enough to get refunds for those who want them.

The consumer counail advised me that my next steps are to write to ticketmaster seeking a refund and at the same time, advise my credit card company to seek the payment back as I have not received the goods..benefits of paying by credit card. They said there are draft letters on their site to use and were confident that my credit card company would refund me. I will be organising my self over the weekend to sort this out.

Another reply from Songkick: "So sorry to have disappointed you here. Unfortunately, we don’t have the ability to process refunds for this show due to the lineup change. The shows are still scheduled to occur on the original date, so I’m afraid that refunds won’t be offered here.
Apologies that we’re not able to offer more flexibility for you on this"

I would definately want my money back as half of the reason I'd want to see the last electric tour would be to farewell Rick, as I have no interest in their acoustic output. If I couldn't get my money back then what a very bitter way to end the live electric Quo relationship as in feeling ripped off. Doesn't someone, in management, understand?

It should be called 'The First Electric Tour Without Rick'

Perhaps Porter/mcd work on the bases that if they say no refunds, no one will bother to challenge. They obviously get legal advice, though they might also work on the bases that if its not challenged your quid's in, and if it is, a couple of hundred refunds won't matter.!! AC/DC did the right thing, but they need to keep the fans on board as they will no doubt do a farewell tour in another 3yrs with or without Brian.

I think some of you lot need to look into this a bit more.
I'm looking at the back of some of my tickets here in Australia (I keep them), and they specifically say for both Ticketmaster and Ticketek...(I note it maybe different over there)
"The right is reserved to add, withdraw or substitute artists and/or vary advertised programs, prices, seating arrangements and audience capacity."

This is worth fighting to the bitter end. Remember what I said previously, I am taking this as far as small claims court if necessary. ..just the fact that it will cost them to defend it will give me some satisfaction...and I hope it publicises the matter more...will cost me 30 quid to do so..cheap for the craic if nothing else

What about all that money spent on the Golden tickets? The front row tickets?? Scandalous! You'll have a great view of Richie Malone and John Edwards.
