Turned it off, makes me mad and sad.
My review, Jo wylie asks if there are any status quo fans and the crowd go mad.
johnny walker asks the crowd to send their best to Rick, and there is at best a mediocre clap.
the drone, and then holy fuck, the crowd must be heading to the bar, what pish
And that a fact. Tv off

As someone who much prefers FF, that show was a triumph for (Rossi's) Quo. Crowd loved it and average Joe at home will have loved it too.
The songs are so good that even played in a different style, they still hold up imo. Agree with many that Acquostic could have been done better but it's still catchy and recognisably "Quo".
Not my preference but likely that this is "Status Quo" for the forseeable future (Last Night of Electrics excepted)
Sorry Derry.

I agree with smq.
It was fine - I can't really knock it.
Or maybe I'm just over it. Over them, if you like.
There might have been a time when watching that would send me into a rage.. But, fuck it. Whatever.

Ok, well I wasn't going to watch it but, it just happened to start when I got in and turned the telly on, when I got in (again) at 2am this morning it was on the telly when I sat down to have a beer, funnily enough when I got up this morning and turned the telly on it was on again - and on each occasion I sat and watched.
Full agreement that the drone is wrong.
BUT
A few things did strike me more this time than last time I saw them play acoustic. Firstly, standing up was much much better and the way Rossi was moving around was no different to when they play electric (kind of blows a hole in the 'its killing us to play electric argument). Secondly, the melody of the songs were a lot more apparent this time, the arrangements were better and crucially Francis singing was a hell of a lot more melodic. The sound mix (on TV) was excellent. Andy didn't 'mince around' like he does when playing electric, his singing was far far better on WYW compared to the clip posted last week, plus his 'sound' was much better on guitar/mandolin/harp this time and he only played piano on one song rather than virtually all of them like last time.
Freddie - I know he's the bowl of contention with some on here, BUT, he did good, never missed a note, his intro on HYB was spot on and almost sounded electric. I really don't understand why he has a microphone though as he doesn't sing.
All in all I thought the band really worked at the performance and turned in a very good show, would have been nice for Rossi to say something about Rick but it is Rossi after all!
