It's worth mentioning that the previous Quo boards weren't shut down because of members being abusive.

There is no need for the abuse of others. I agree, but I don't think anything that has been said is particularly excessive. Much worse has been said in the non-Quo sections which has been left and is still there. Is it only because the people that are being "targeted" have a chance of finding out about the abuse via reading this board or fellow Quo fans telling them about it that's the issue (i.e. possible legal action against the board)? Compared to Cameron/May/Corbyn who are never going to know, which is why anything posted about them is tolerated.

Nah, sorry but it's not true that anything about politics (or other subjects for that matter is always being left up, there have been threads removed there as well, as soon as we think there's a risk that it may endanger the board because of the proboard rules we do delete posts or threads if nessesary. I don't think the comparison is completely right either ... putting up an insult or bad things about a political figure is something different then putting up insults and abuse to other quofans who happen to like music that FF fans may not like or go to concerts that FF fans may not like. Besides, it works the other way around as well, we have deleted posts and threads from certain CQ fans who put up insults towards ff fans just as well.

It's worth mentioning that the previous Quo boards weren't shut down because of members being abusive. What I've noticed by us calming down the abuse towards other members, is that people are giving more interesting responses in why they think/feel as they do. It is easy to hurl out your emotions at others - whether they are at a specific group of the fanbase or at specific members on here. And maybe it even feels good while you do it. But ultimately, all you are doing is releasing your anger into this virtual room and expecting others to simply lap it up. Many others on here don't enjoy that. Thank you deepthroat and DQ for sharing your thoughts. Please continue to express your upset at the direction of the band but you really don't need to blame others for that. Except one key band member I suppose.

Hi All, What's all this then ? I think there is a way of getting you point across without resorting to the use of foul language and personal insults if you don't happen to agree with someone else's opinion just say so and respect it simple. Some members like myself don not exactly make what their opinion is very clear and waffle on just losing the main gist of what they are offering as their opinion.
Some tend to get bogged down in tit for tat arguments which is funny at times but can lead to really stupid personal attacks and that is never a good thing. Like I have said a few times before "Opinions are like noses everybody has one and not all are the same" you either try and put forward your opinion over the best you can or accept the others opinion move on next subject please!....
