Just waiting for Issac or someone to chime in with, "But, they are having fun! That actor is a good substitute for Rick"
Fucking laughable that people will lap this up but, there ya go

They're building up to the masterpiece Citizen Quo. Spoiler Alert:- Citizen Frame's dying words are "Oh, Spud!" Brilliant!

I haven't watched the revivals of Porridge and Are You Being Served and this thread had me reminiscing about Citizen Smith and look! Looks like they're remaking that too. A Quo sequel simply pales in significance to me.... I loved Citizen Smith. "Robert Lindsay is set to return to TV screens in the show that made him a household name, Citizen Smith. The 1970s sitcom followed the life and times of urban guerrilla 'Wolfie' Smith, based in Tooting in south London, and will surely incite glee into the hearts of its legions of adoring fans. Lindsay, 65, confirmed the news of Citizen Smith's return in an interview with The Independent. He explained: 'I've been chased by a production company which is very much trying to get Wolfie to run for the Labour Party and bring him back into power. I think that's a fantastic idea.' " Mind you, a better sitcom might be the shenanigans of current Labour Party and we should get Armardo Iannuci to write it. www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3230117/Power-people-Robert-Lindsay-set-reprise-role-Wolfie-Citizen-Smith-beloved-1970s-political-sitcom-makes-return.html

Wasn't Rick so embarrassed by Bula Quo that he snuck out half way through the premiere? (I'm sure I read that somewhere)
Even Francis apologised for the film (half-jokingly in an interview) before it was released.
I can't imagine them doing another.
(Then again I suppose if the money is right and they get a free holiday out of it)
But here's the thing that really annoys me. This Bula Quo bloke (Stuart) keeps on stating that Bula Quo influenced Aquostic.
Now correct me if I'm wrong, but i've only ever heard Quo say that the Coles Advert where they're playing accoustic instruments (sitting in the middle of the audience) gave them the idea for Aquostic. I've never heard anyone from Quo say Bula Quo influenced Aquostic.
In fact I can't recall anyone from Quo mentioning the film again after the premiere and initial publicity.
Having read some of what was written on the Bula Quo social media when it was released I think this bloke likes to talk things up!
Personally I think there's more chance risk of a Quo Musical than a Bula Quo sequel.

Simon Julou No it was Francis. I was there Rick stayed to the end. Francis has been pretty disparaging about it since then which is why I wonder how they'll persuade him to do another. Unless he has a lot of tax to write-off. Then, of course, he would be more willing. I'm hoping and praying that he won't though. And you are correct about the roots of Aquostic. It was both the Coles ads and Radio 2 who set that one up. The director of BQ is a shameless hustler who will say anything to cling on to Quo and influence them.

Francis secretly sneaked out of the Bula Quo premiere halfway through because he was embarrassed? Didn't know this

Not sure why I thought it was Rick? (can only blame old age!) As things with the Frantic Four have shown if Francis doesn't want to do something it won't happen (and with regards to another movie we can only hope that on this occasion he doesn't change his mind). I remember hearing an interview with Stuart St. Paul where he said the sequel was written in such a way that any band could be in it (didn't have to be Quo). Always assumed that was a bit of a get-out clause on his part to save face.
