A very bad Google translation of Wim's review from the Dutch section below....
Best Quo Freak (s)
What I have a wonderful weekend behind us.
Partly because the days surrounding Deest but mainly to the music on the festival grounds' t Zeeltje.
Very small, beautifully situated and happy dry weather!
Therefore the grass was dry and it was not a mud hole as when Dicky Woodstock Festival.
Right on time in Deest, All Places to park our car in the square.
Stukkie walk and then the embankment to watch the boats on the river Waal ....... what a hive of activity.
There was busier than on the festival grounds.
Suddenly we see the coach Wilbert (Quotation) driving the front of the bus Johnny Boy and his wife.
Fortunately, members of the party.
Back to the festival grounds out to sniff around, sniff music, coupons and looking to score
or whether we see Quo fans.
Whoops, that it is disappointing though. : -S
Exactly we are one Quo fan encountered in the field and the rest walked behind the scenes and worked on
the merchandise, take pictures or play the harmonica with the band.
Another two people who talked for 50 years Quo fan but which we did not know by sight or name.
Nice to have it once made its acquaintance.
The program was quite sound, nice bands with very fine music.
Anyway, we came for "Coghlans Quo" and that allows us nearly Never Never Not disappoint.
John quojc had good sense and the other band members.
The new bass player is a real asset.
Sings and emits three times more than its predecessor.
On the bass I can not judge because I have no sense of jerk.
Baz Barry could not be present but was replaced by another outstanding guitarist, who also could sing meritorious.
A nice set of recognizable Quo songs and plenty of room to party lets rock and headbanging !!
Afterwards we had the luck ........ A 'Meet & Greet' with John Coghlan.
Super natural, to meet your old (literally and figuratively) drumgod and bring to the picture.
That was the icing on the cake!
Then quickly back to the next band, these guys have played with Gallagher.
What a summer good sound and what a fantastic good guitarist (Marcel Scherpenzeel).
However, we did not want more to keep looking at "Old Ni-js".
The length of time between appearances, it took us too long. doh
Bye 't Zeeltje, a mega event in the small village of Deest.
Sunday visited a small museum, a small Asian shops full of harmonicas and accordions.
In the room downstairs which people acted, in the form of a jam session.
What a funny combination and what a wonderful stukkie Blues and Boogie. quoal
After an intense weekend back home on Monday.
Tuesday again in the bin because the pennies must be earned again.
Thanks ............... to Gillie: , the band manager and the whole crew of John Coghlan's Quo ....... but also
the organization of this festival.
Greetings and see you again, "Will 'o' the Wisp"
