In truth they aren't the force of nature they were once upon a time, certainly this was no match for the gig at the Astoria on their comeback tour. However what a great set. Hits, well known songs and a few deeper cuts. Dee as brash and over the top as ever. But at the same time he was at pains to point out without The UK and Lemmy they would not have become such big stars all over the world. Some great songs and playing. If you have never heard them give Stay Hungry a spin. Highlight as ever was the closing SMF.
As a smaller festival Bloodstock is well worth a visit. It probably drew 15000 people yesterday. Also as a smaller festival it's easier to walk between stages.
