From Coghlan's Facebook page....
Due to family circumstances Baz has had to pull out of all JCQ gigs in the short term. He has asked his friend Rick Abbs to stand in for him to enable the band to honour its commitments. In his absence Baz hopes that you all fully and wholeheartedly support Rick in this and wishes the band to continue to have fun as always. Obviously Baz is very disappointed to miss out on seeing everyone during the coming weeks but this is unavoidable.
Rick Abbs currently fronts the excellent Leicestershire Quo band 'State the Quo' and is deeply honoured to have been selected to help out at this time. Rick's first appearance will be this Saturday 30th July at The Half Moon in Putney.
Please show him a warm welcome and also join us in sharing our support for Baz at this difficult time,
JC, Mick & Rick

Thanks maff for sharing this with us. Having seen your excellent band and John's I can highly recommend both. I hope Baz's family difficulties get better really soon but I'm confident that Rick will be able to fill in perfectly. Maybe I can get to the gig on Sat on my way back home from Cov!

Impressive. Funny how the cover bands are now sounding better and more authentic than CQ.
(Simon Porter need look no further...now he can replace Rossi and the CQ fans will still be very very happy. They will not even notice and in any case have accepted replacements for every other Quo member as it is after all 'still Quo' as long as 'original members' Andy and Rhino are included!)

Sounds average. A lot of wrong bends but even Frame does that a lot;). But good energy

Enjoyed that. Hadn't heard of this band - really like the vibe. I live in the Midlands so will look out for gigs

Here's a better one. Show's just how good he is Well. He can imitate things but for me few lads from the local pub. Best part seems to be a drummer in a vid:-)

Brilliant stuff! Just needs the green Tele! He should give Tony a ring, he's got an amazing replica of the famous guitar in Live Aid config on offer at the moment. Built for some guy in Sweden (I think) who turned round and said he didn't want it after all once it was made...
