These re-releases with bonus tracks piss me off. I want the album as it was, and as it was supposed to be. Bonus tracks should find another route onto the market
Exactly.

I also miss the phenomenon of album sides. Each side was an "organism"" unto itself. Each side had an opening song, a sequence and a closing song. With the advent of the cd the álbum side phenomenum went out the door.
Truth is if I was god of the music industry I would not go back to vinyl, but I WOULD organize the listing of the cd´s songs into sides, .....or maybe sections might make more sense.
Ok, I´m done.

If you were to go on iTunes now I don't think you can get many the albums on original format. An alternative with bonus tracks are forced on you. Often these bonus tracks are live versions from some poorly recorded gig and are shit

Ok, I´m done. :-) A wee prelude of silence on the CD prior to the start of what we knew to be side 2 you mean. Or even better, the imaginary sound of us lifting the arm, flipping the LP and setting the needle back down on the vinyl, before exploding with the sound of the greatest R&R band in the land.

12, 14, 20 songs organized consecutively on a cd is just too many. It would be better to section them off into sides, sections, acts ...or whatever.

Since getting back into Quo about 5 years ago after many many years of having zero interest in them I have downloaded all but the first two albums off iTunes and all these bonus tracks get right on my tits!!!

Ok, I´m done. :-) A long silence between (say) BEL and Caroline, or Nightride and Down Down would do the trick! edit- soz Rocks - I see you already suggested this.
