The Marquee was about half full at best last summer, though so was I that night.. Was gonna go to that. Decided not to. Fucking love Cork but, The Marquee is a kip The gig was ok, but overall I came out of it thinking I'll never go see that line up again.!!

I remember people getting arse hurt over the FF selling it out and those people saying, "Yeah well, Quo with Rhino could sell it so" As childish as I am to responding to that, here is the evidence, for those people, you haven't a clue Correct. And for the casual punter this is an easier sell. The last ever tour. The reunion was more of a sell to Status Quo fans. So the base was smaller. What day of the week is it ? The reunion was a Sat. Which meant people like me would travel to it. However it must show to Francis maybe there was money left on the table with the reunion.

A bank holiday weekend in the city and its struggling massively What does that say?

"Still 3 months ahead" ?
Bank hols aren't the best time to hold a gig though ... people tend to go away with family.

It was during the school holidays. I accept there will probably be less people like me travelling from England. I know thats partly due to a UK tour. But in truth I wager there are more fans willing to travel for the end of the greatest Quo line up than the Winter one this year, even with Rick aboard.

CQ have never filled that venue, and they've played it on Sunday, Saturday, and a Wednesday and that's why I though they wouldn't do well in that venue with the mighty the FF, They did though, and the standing tickets were sold out in a couple of days for that gig, still standing tickets on sale for CQ. The only thing that will sell them tickets now will be last minute casuals who'll be in Dublin for the weekend or some Uriah heap fans who won't hang around for CQ.

Latest response from promoter.
Thanks for your email. As there has been no discussion as to whether or not Rick Parfitt will be performing here, I’m afraid I’m not in a position to comment further here. Should I have any further information here, I will be sure to let you know.

And my latest reponse.
Brian, once again I appreciate the response. But I am not happy with it. I am obliged to advise you of my proposed next steps and give MCD an opportunity to respond more positively before I take the next step. My next steps will be to approach the Consumer Council and establish what my rights are. I am also formally advising you that I plan to lodge this case in the small claims court, in an effort to resolve the matter. I simply want to know from MCD, if I will get a refund if Rick parfitt is not playing. If you can’t answer this, I will be asking the consumer council and small claims court to adjudicate on the matter. They will ask me what efforts I have made to resolve with the retailer ( MCD), and that’s why I am giving MCD one final opportunity to resolve the matter.

DQ, leave it for now...I understand your reasons, I'm the same but, wind it in a little.
I studied law in college, as part of my course. To the best of my knowledge, if Rick is not able to perform (please God he is again in general) you are entitled to a refund.
The launch campaign was set around RP and FR...If Rick is not there, you bought goods under false description, or in this case, you didn't receive the goods you paid for.
Very early days though and I'd just rather, as we all would, Rick's health gets back to 100%. Fuck the music

But they are parading around without rick as if nothing was wrong, offering no refunds. This is not acceptable and I want to be assured that I will get my money back...a few phine calls next week and a 30 quid small claims application...gonna see this through

You don't have to go to looking for it. It's plain as day If it goes ahead without Rick, you'll have to fight me to get to the front of the line to get my money back. Gonna donate it though.

What Freewilly says. They might try and hang something on the "Status Quo" name, but I don't think they will. Rick (two of him, in fact) is clearly there in all the adverts. He's been in the publicity. And in any case, if a load of people start asking for refunds and don't get them, it will lose goodwill in a public arena (ie it will be in the papers under Daily Mail headlines) and they can't afford that - it could impact on Quo projects in the future. I think if Rick isn't well, they will go for a reschedule.
