I know most people on here hate Coldplay but even though I'm quite enjoying the Hungary v Belgium game I think I'm going to give them a go at 9.30
This Whiskey is working wonders.

I'm not sure they deserve the flak they get. Some great tunes.

I don't often use the 'C' word..................
BUT
The Coldplay show at Glastonbury was very good - as a show/spectacle.
Musically I'm not so sure.....
There are four blokes in Coldplay, for some periods of the show they were producing a lot more 'music' than four blokes can produce. There was DEFINATLY some pre-recorded contributions in that show.
There was one bit where CM was 'playing' the piano, half way through he changed to acoustic guitar BUT the piano sound continued.
Barry Gibb was very good, BUT his brothers were also SINGING on Staying Alive.
On several occasions you could here FEMALE backing vocals in the mix.
There was a point early on when CM was making vocal contributions over an instrumental bit whilst waving his arms in the air - the microphone was in his hand above his head.
Like I said, the 'show' was great but the mix engineer was far better.

Saw them live last night , great show . Remembered reading the above post and possibly there were miming segments last night but very well done . What got my goat were the " fans " who talked / yelled to there mates the whole gig , the sound wasn't that loud as it was , so I struggled to hear any talky bits with the background chatter . Why do women ( 40 's , 50's ) think they are still 19 when out with the office girls on the Xmas party ? , stop cackling and dance like they're in Ibiza when they recognise the intro , think it's ok to stand on my bare feet ( jandals / thongs / flip flops ) , kind of lean , touch up against you with no worries - I'm standing my ground so to speak and she's just underneath my bent arm which is holding my phone , then behind me a real 19 year old boozed up tried to jump around within a square metre ! Maybe it's me and I need to go to the seats , but we were over halfway down the pitch away from the stage , just unlucky with who was around us I guess .
