Can those having probs explain exactly what's happening. What browser, operating system etc. are you using?
Try changing the theme to the 'grey' theme in your profile settings.

Only slows down when a lot of Youtube stuff is in the thread. Clean yer cache, run a malwarekiller and reboot!
