1991 would have been a sensible departure point. RTYD, The Brit Award, RAOTY.
Francis could have gone off and released TW on his own (put more effort into his "solo" album). Rick worked with Alan and John. Walker f**ked up some other band.
The re-issues (if released properly) kept Quo tiding over. An acoustic album when they were popular?

He does clarify "I know it sounds petty". Don't forget, they'd just broken up, it was probably still going through court, his relationship with Alan was probably at it's lowest ebb, and they were still on the coke. I wouldn't expect him to sing his praises.
