Been giving the Whatever You Want album a bit of a bash over the last fortnight . It's the first time in 30 years or so that I have listened to it . Have to say, I was suprised that I enjoyed the title track , even if I am sick of hearing it live, Shady Lady was a disappointment - used to really like it back in the day. However I really did enjoy the outro to Breaking Away , which got me thinking of other great outro's , so off the top of my head and in no specific order , my current top three studio album outro's are :
1. Breaking Away 2. Mystery Song 3. Down Down

Quo has many great outros.
But who can resist "Oh Baby" (record) which reprises one of the world's best riffs into the sunset.

Living on an Island. The vinyl-version with full volume;) I forgot about that, it just begin's to rock, when it fades.

The outros to BB, The Oriental and CUOY spring to mind, but only because they signify the end of truly dreadful songs.

Quite a few already mentioned. An early often overlooked one is Tune to the Music - it revs up into the heads down mode they were starting to grow into right at the finish as it fades out I always think of this song, at its time in 1970 and so soon after the fiskadelic days, as the clearest signal of how radically different they were about to become.
I like the fade out to Daughter as well. Its got an almost Deep Purple like feel to it.
