Hi All, I was Monty's Double 1958 (Via BBCi). Another classic flag waving B/W war film with the usual suspects in starring roles, if you like the classics you should enjoy this one....
Starring:-M. E. Clifton James,John Mills,Cecil Parker,Patrick Allen,Patrick Holt,Leslie Phillips,Michael Hordern,Marius Goring, Barbara Hicks,Duncan Lamont,Anthony Sagar,John Gale,Kenneth J. Warren,James Hayter,Sid James,Patrick Connor, also near the end of the film, the scriptwriter Bryan Forbes has a bit part as a young Lieutenant who assists Harvey in the beach rescue of M. E. Clifton James.
As D-Day approaches during World War II, British officers Major Harvey (John Mills) and Colonel E.F. Logan (Cecil Parker) plot to give the Germans misinformation about their military strategy. When Harvey spots an actor (M. E. Clifton-James, playing himself in this true story) who looks just like British military leader General Montgomery, he uses him to impersonate the general in North Africa. James thus draws German troops away from Normandy, becoming both a hero and a major military target.

Hi All, The Boy With The Top Knot (Via BBCi Available until 17/09) I enjoyed this autobiographical comedy/drama film but IMO was not as humorous as had been described with a just few funny moments. Still nonetheless enjoyable to watch with an exploration of a multi cultural relationship put to the test......
Starring:-Sacha Dhawan,Deepti Naval,Anupam Kher,Joanna Vanderham,Vineeta Rishi Vineeta Rishi,Jaz Deol,Anjli Mohindra Himmut Singh Datt,Shaheen Khan,Kriss Dosanjh,Aaron Thiara,Ravin J. Ganatra,Dinita Gohil,Michael Shelford and Sharon Duncan
One-off drama based on the critically acclaimed memoirs of British journalist Sathnam Sanghera.

I really like horror etc, and what I saw from reviews is that this the real deal. How was it? Slow burner, very creepy, mad last 10 mins. Some people might be disappointed by the ending which wasn’t hugely original but yes, a good horror film!

Hi All, Inn For Trouble 1960 (Via the Talking Pictures channel 328 on Sky) a spin-off of the 1950s sitcom (The Larkins) quite funny in places...

Matthews,Ronan O'Casey,Shaun O'Riordan, Alan Wheatley,Willoughby Goddard,Alan Rolfe,Gerald Campion,Stanley Unwin,Irene Handl,Graham Moffatt,Charles Hawtrey, Esma Cannon,Edward Malin,Barbara Mitchell,Graham Stark and Frank Williams.
The Larkin family takes over a run-down country public house, "The Earl of Osbourne", but their efforts to rejuvenate business are impeded by the long-standing tradition of free beer being distributed by the local Earl. Hi All, Double X 1992 (Via Talking Pictures channel/Sky 328). Thought this may be good being as it had Bernard Hill,Norman Wisdom and Simon Ward who are all decent actors, sadly this looks like a money for old rope film as it was full of cliché's, yet Norman Wisdom is by far the best character actor in this watch and forget film.....
Starring:- Norman Wisdom,William Katt,Bernard Hill,Gemma Craven,Simon Ward and Chloë Annett.
A Chicago policeman (William Katt) on vacation in Scotland meets a man (Norman Wisdom) whose daughter has been kidnapped by mobsters.
