It is a wonder that CQ and management do not delude themselves that this would be warranted and would sell as part of the end of the electrics final tour! (and of course it would involve a DVD, Cd's etc., which would sell in shed loads) After all haven't they been a roaring success and the public will wish to send them off in glory?
Simon must be keeping this as a nice surprise for everyone.
May be however they know it would go the same way as the Isle of Wight festival they tried to promote a number of years ago but failed to get the numbers and interest.

They could have called it "Milton Keynes: The End of the Earth".

Sad to say they wouldn't sell enough tickets to make it viable. They're not the pull they used to be and they couldn't really headline over anyone worth while enough to shift enough tickets to make it a goer. NIce thought though.
I'm not sure even a final show from the frantics would flog the 30,000 tickets needed to even half fill the bowl.

As a die hard fan of the original ff lineup I don't think an arena tour or the mkb is the way to go.let's face it most of us old duffers saw the band in what were by todays standards small intimate venues. For me it was the glasgow apollo and the edinburgh playhouse and other such places. So for me if the ff ever do a really final, final tour it would have to be somewhere like the Barrowlands in glasgow or similar venues accross the country to really have the chance to give us the chance to say a fond farewell and give us the chance to recreate the good old days and atmosphere of what were and can still be the best live band in the land. And Rossi stick all that "I don't do nostalgia pish" where it belongs,Cheers.

Maybe at The Stables in MK.
If we're talking about The Bowl then this is a wind up, right?

Lets say the management did delude themselves, they would then have to find a promoter to back this and I doubt any would. Its the promoters who know what venues they can sell a band in best.
Anyway, why would CQ want to connect themselves with a version of Quo they've spent over 30 years distancing themselves from? They wouldn't.
