I was at the Paris gig the following night and I preferred the live version of "Oh What A Night" then the IYCSTH studio track

Yep - went to Blackpool Opera House and Manchester Apollo, late May/early June 1979 from memory
Great gigs, despite the "studio" sound of the previous albums From memory they played several tracks from the previous two albums - Rockers rollin, Hold you back, Rockin all over the world, Dirty Water, Like a good girl, Oh what a night - I think at Blackpool they even played You don't own me.
Different times and a different/far superior band back then - a band that could sell out 4 nights in Manchester - they even played 2 nights in Blackpool

My Dad taped one of the June 1979 Hammersmith gigs. Great show by the sounds of it. I think he attended multiple nights on that run, I'll have to ask him!

As I recall, they didn't actually tour If You Can't Stand The Heat as such - something to do with the tax year shite. So they only played Reading '78 in the UK & then by the time they toured in early '79 it was all a bit after the event as regards the album release. My first ever Quo gig was 12th May 1979 at the NEC, they played Oh! What A Night & Like A Good Girl from the latest album.
