...I find it hard to live up to sometimes" So overblown Francis.... One thing that's allways disappointed me about the first reunion tour , and that is that I started searching you tube for stuff from the late 80s 90s etc as I just got curious , what a load of SHIGHT they've been able to get away with is unreal .

I think it's a case of happy at work.Who needs to work with a bloke who once smacked a customs officer and landed 2 others blokes in nick?Lancaster is an essential part of Quo's success but nobody should be forced to work with someone they don't like.Rossi doesn't want to work with Lancaster and that's it.

Correct. That's what I've always said. Us fans look at it from a music/personnel/image perspective; the band and their management may look at it differently.

I think that Rossi didn't enjoy the FF tours...I reckon the beard was a case of "shave it off when this is over".Compared to a lot of people in the public eye they've never gone in for whole sale slagging, just a hint here and there. There must have been times when he found it hard to take all the grief coming his way.

Barely a hand full of the crowd knew the words at the start , 'snigggers' . Best go and listen to one of the reunion 4500 times , the crowds there sing along just nice ..... ..........QUO crowd watching QUO .

But this band sounds a lot better and tighter than the FF ever done!

Yeah WSOL worked as a single. In hindsight it was a mistake Imo in the context of 'cracking the States' . Smoother slicker sounding music turned out not to be what the US fans wanted. AL was right and on that basis he should most definitely have had the biggest say in the bands musical direction as it was he who first recognized that Quo was not going down their best possible path. Being a niche band it did take ACDC a very long time to crack the US market but they stuck to what they were best at and eventually won through. Quo were a niche band too and unfortunately didn't stick to what they were best at. I remember well when ACDC were a far smaller name band than Quo was. But once a band cracks USA all that changes. A shame really for Quo and I do wonder if the band had its time over whether they would have done things alot differently . Alot more like how AL wanted them to do. I always got the impression with Quo they could fill some of the biggest [indoor] venues in Europe in the mid 70s but when they went to the states they were a support act or headlining small clubs. They were Gods in Europe but nobodies in America. Perhaps it was too easy to be adored in Europe and not put the effort into the US market? They had already made it in Europe, the USA wasn't worth the effort for a possible non payout. I think Francis alluded to this in the past, all the money they had made in Europe could have or was being wasted [to a certain degree] trying to break America. Plus, around 76 / 77 they could have left Europe to tour the US extensively and come back to find the punk movement had swept through the country and left them behind. Just my thoughts on the subject!
