i just can't believe Quo want to go down this acoustic road as retirement looms. They were one of the worlds loudest and hard hitting rock bands on the planet back then!! ffs are they holding our hands leading us to the retirement home. Francis talking about assisted suicide.etc.. Surely ain't the same band I latched onto in '75.

The honesty expressed about fears of growing old and wondering how much time they have left, especially against the background of their own wild living and loss of contemporaries of their same age, is quite understandable and reasonable in my opinion.
However, that doesn't preclude them from one off shows here and there that include Alan and John. Rather than planning exhaustive tours, which are rehearsed to the letter, and with day after day on a tour bus - playing spontaneous gigs at smaller venues when it suits them, and at their own pace, would make a great way to retire.
With the pressure off, they might provide some of the best off the cuff gigs played in years and years
On that basis, they could even manage a flight to Oz and play a few outback pubs...
