I watched quite a bit of this on BBC4 on Sat night. Can be watched or downloaded here (from UK)I've never watched it all the way through as it's too long imo.... But what struck me this time is that once you get to the bit where JC leaves the band.....it stops being about the music. From then on, it's all about milestones, stunts, health and fall outs. The music barely gets a mention. But the first hour or so of the film is awesome

I thought it was great and didn't think it was too long. It is a good insight into the band, which has managed to remain in the limelight for a very long time. That is an incredible achievement, considering how fickle the music industry is.\Worth a watch.

That's exactly what I thought rossiwaistcoat - when I first saw it. I was gripped until that point and then I felt bored/embarrassed by the rest.

I watched it once. Have watched the jam a few times.
The truth is there's not much to talk about musically since '81. It should have ended in '81 and then did the jam. However like Status Quo it went on passed the point where people cared.

I watched a bit of it again and then the start of 'aquostic' (horrific!!!) after and through it all I constantly thought to myself I must have needed a brain implant to have liked this band...stunts after stunts after stunts and ridiculously poor music.
They deserved their reputation in the press and public! All dreadful and totally horrible really.
Mind you when they had the reunion jam I was in love them again.
