Back in the day where I grew up in Ohio, U.S.A, if I ever introduced someone to Status Quo, I´d likely choose "Backwater". It was always the ass-kickenest rock song, with some good roll to round it out.
So great it is, maybe their best.

Two of my faves , Just Take Me is absolute class . Even with Alans poor health and lack of movement , both songs somehow are still full of energy . Quo how it should be live! Top Clip.

This along side a Forty Five Hundred Times clip sums up what a magical experience those Hammy reunion gigs were. I was down the front getting battered during this unforgettable performance. Please return!

Tad good wasn't they . The crowd I meant . Oh, you had me there. I thought you meant the band... Marvellous indeed. When I'm tired, knackered, completely drained at the end of the day, I love watching the Dublin DVD. It's got a soothing effect on me. But that's the case with most Quo DVDs. I just love watching (and listening to) Status Quo.

Have to disagree a bit there , tried watching that gig that's on sky now and then , the crowd are dire , and that version of status quo just haven't got the rock factor . But each to there own .

But Dublin is the Final Fling gig. Whereas I think the gig you mean is Live at Montreux. I've not seen the latter but its often described as you've done piledriver.

I agree, piledriver. The crowd at Montreux seems a bit static, and the band in black and white really lacks the 'rock factor'. But the gig they played was loud, and the setlist was alright.

I would love to hear Backwater live now! Wonder what it would sound like with more oumph that Rhino and Leon has! The Backwater solo has always been my favorite of all of them too!

Your up for a wind up or you simply have no clue . No offence . But im sure someone will kindly put a vid up of Backwater played without Alan and John there , be warned though , you might think someones tinkered with the vid and dubbed a tribute band over it .
