Yes I stumbled across that online some years ago before I found the 1st official Quo message board. V sad if true.

If that story is true then it's a very sad story indeed

I've only just read this
Its quite shocking to read, and admittedly doesn't sit very well at all with any fan bias I have long held towards Francis. Everyone knows the band had wild days, but reading this stuff is very unpleasant and extremely sad. Who knows if it is wholly true, but bearing in mind how both Francis and Rick lost their minds through excesses, there is unfortunately little reason not to believe it
With the drugs long gone, a bad conscience has surely returned in their place. Maybe part of his reason for staying on the road and financial concerns over looking after his family with Eileen, as stated recently, has a large place in terms of such guilt over the past?
However, if this article is true, then it would seem that such guilt has paralysed any attempt at trying to redress a balance where the most pain has been caused.
Its puts another perspective over disappointment over set lists etc that is for sure

It is uncomfortable reading however I am sure that I have read another article since then. Which said that things are better these days for Jean and I seem to recall that an amicable relationship is now there between the ex's. Does not excuse what went on back then but things change. Ricks personal life is much more of a mess than Francis's ever was. BTW That story was on the front page of a copy of the Daily Mirror that Rodney was reading in the 1996 OFAH trilogy.

Yes, subsequent to posting that, I found out for myself what you have just said. I reacted too soon, and rather to what I read at face value, rather than taking into account where and when it was written.
Your perspective is better and more accurate than mine as a result

A reminder that they ain't Gods, just normal people who like many have a dark side.
