It reads rather like an obituary to me, not least due to what I'd consider a somewhat false perspective. But then, that's not unuaual for fans. It is perhaps true Frame ruined Quo - but I do believe Quo would have been sweet FA without him too. It is worth remembering that from time to time (if you believe it). He was one of the main reasons I first was drawn to Quo. But I also saw them as a band of 4 and not him alone. On reflection it is his love of melody which drew me to their version of a heavier rock sound, along with the blues/shuffles which I also love. So I agree Gates, they probably wouldn't have been what they became in the 70s without him. In the end though, I think the main reason I feel a lot less than I did for Francis was his stinging remarks post the reunion gigs. I could accept that he wanted to go a different way etc.. but to insult me for my earlier love of the band was a step too far.

Yes - but I'd forgive him if he'd do another FF tour including nights at Wolves - and I'd bake him a steak and kidney pie with black pudding embedded in the suet crust if he'd do an FF album. How's that for crowdfunding! Me too. btw - I think if you went for pasta or something Italian, you might stand a better chance. He talks a lot about his love for Italian food.

I think they all brought distinctive elements to what evolved into the Quo sound, sadly Francis seems to be the one who has trouble remembering both their individual contributions & their collective achievements.
