Having been a long term follower of all things Quo since 1981, and bought generally everything they've ever released (several times over) be interested to know when other Forum Members were at their Quo 'Peak'? Personally I've always followed and seen each Tour since the EOTR 84 Tour (only missing the 2017 Tour due to it being too soon personally after Rick's passing) but if I was to say one period it would be between 1984-1990, when I would buy every release, see them more than once each Tour, save Newspaper cuttings, literally everything I could get my hands on Quo wise, later on around 1999 I stopped buying Tour Merchandise and Programmes as I no longer wanted to (the price wasn't a problem) and it took until the Reunion Tours (where I bought everything I could get my hands on) for the buying enthusiasm to return, I also sold off my complete vinyl collection (66 Albums and 80+ singles, including various duplicates/compilations) and Cassettes, but always kept the CDs (which even today I always add to) the Tour Programmes were sold as a job lot to a collector in France, which I never regretted, and the T shirts and Tour Jackets went as well over the Years Saying that though I've repurchased some Quo Books in recent Times, 'ebbs and flows' it might be said...Life Laundry or something like that...

Album wise it was 73/77 and on stage it was 77/84. Got the albums and tour merch and that was about it.

Record-wise, from 1982, all the back catalogue to Piledriver and forwards longer than was probably sensible. I vaguely remember having a vinyl single of Little Dreamer. What was I thinking?? Live, steadily from 1982 up to the time Francis started messing about with ROLD, and then a bit.
I don't really buy stuff much, but I bought a lot of music papers for the cuttings in the 80s (including vintage ones). I have a bit of a newsprint addiction.

It peaked in 1973 after I'd gone to see the band, although I had liked them as a youngster because I had the Down The Dustpipe and In My Chair singles. But having singles and becoming an obsession are miles apart Sad to say, that peak never really disappeared until very, very recently. With, I suspect, age becoming a factor. The enthusiasm for gigs only began to wane around 2017 I reckon. When it all seemed a bit confusing; last of the electrics, plugged in, all that trying to keep going at all costs malarkey. Strangely, that Covid/lockdown period had the opposite effect that it should have. It was the longest ever period of not seeing Quo and I didn't miss it. Covid was maybe the catalyst. Perhaps for me and the band because they've been slowly winding down ever since. Seen the band in countless countries including Czech Republic and Australia. But when I last saw the band in the winter of 2022, I sort of knew I was done. Don't get me wrong, they were just as good. It was all down to my new found apathy. For a lot of things in life as it happens. That can't be ar$ed feeling A 40-odd year 'peak' isn't bad going. And I still play the music. The collection of everything is vast. Even to the point of having a Quo 'room' in one or two houses. Put it this way, I saw them when I was still at school and retired from work before I stopped. Happy with that 👍

My personal Quo peak, was probably 1980 to 2016 when sadly we lost Rick. For me it was technically over then. We have to remember Rick was there from the real start of Status Quo. And the chemistry between Francis and Rick, well I don't think theres been anything quite like it before or since from any band.
I used to religiously buy all their singles in all available formats, regardless of if I liked the song. I was gutted when the physical format died on singles because I knew it was the end of hits for Quo.
I still love Quo, but the fanatical period ended when we lost Rick. 😕

From ‘Again and Again’ single to Live-Aid and then a jump to the Reunions. Still have all the LPs up to B2B (plus QPQ) - no interest in anything before MKGS or after B2B. 👍

I was hooked from seeing Down Down on the telly then obsessed with the band. Went to newsagents every week to check rock magazines for any headline of Quo. Saw them in 75,76 and 78. Overjoyed with albums up to RAOTW but persisted and always disappointed until Back To Back. So I suppose I peaked at 1978 with their brilliant gig in Sydney.

I guess 1979! From my first Quo concert at Olympia on NYE 1975 I guess my enthusiasm grew to a peak to seeing them about 8-9 times in 1979 (Paris, Hammersmith, Wembley, NEC). The next peak would of course have been 2013-2014!

Thinking more deeply on this, I remember at being 17 when the Army album came out in 86 and thinking well it wasn't really the end then as on the back sleeve it said Quos Back.
But took comfort in that so much so far as to say I think the charisma was already for many years coming from Rick and Francis anyway. I think they really were the Morecambe and Wise or Ant and Dec of Rock n Roll as Rick and Francis normally always stood in the same position on stage, just as the comedians I mentioned earlier does or did.
Which makes Rick and Francis a unique unit all on their own.
I think even on some of the record sleeves had Rick and Francis as the front cover in full concert flight.
So I could maintain an interest as long as I knew Rick was in the band, but in 2016 for me at least something ripped my heart out, and turned it upside down, and Quo for me was over. The party that wasn't over yet, actually was over, with an eiry blanket sound of nothingness.

But really. For a couple of nights at Hammersmith in 2013
I had no desire to see the band since then. No point. The reunions would never be beaten.
