They all say 'promotional copy'. Not sure if that makes them any more worth having. Probably not.
Was it ever released officially as a single or was this just a promo for the album do we think?
Never knew they were signed to A&M over there either. Always just assumed it was Capitol after the Blue For You import that was kicking about in the 70's.

Quo US labels inc A & M , Capitol, Riva & Mercury. Pretty sure early releases, (Piledriver) they were on A & M in Asia as well.

Imagine if the DJs had started to spin the single and it gained radio traction, things would certainly have been much different for Quo in the US. If only...

Poor representation & lack of back handers cost Quo in the US. Crikey, Paper Plane, Caroline & Down Down on major rock station across the States. Unfortunately US rock fans never got the chance to get into Quo.

Most early Quo singles were released in the US, although they hardly got any radio play. Down Down was supposed to be the big one. It didn’t materialise. Matchstick Men did shift 500k over there in 1968.
