I don't think I have heard that before.
Its rather good in a Parfitt/Edwards sort of way. Does anyone know who played the solo? It doesn't sound quite like Francis.

Seems that there will be a new compilation of rarities coming in November.. Mike Paxman produced rarities and stuff. 15 tracks in total. Status Quo is pleased to announce the forthcoming "Driving to Glory" CD and Picture Disc 12" Single - available to preorder ahead of its release on 29th November 2024: Link in bio The release has been personally overseen by the producer Mike Paxman who said: "Known for their hard-driving style, it's fitting that this Status Quo collection is called Driving To Glory. Many of the songs included were recorded for soundtracks or to go with non-album single releases - this collection brings them together for the first time.” www.cherryred.co.uk/artist/status-quo?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAaZRSm8LbnMfLpLgs-7PlkCquoQSGrQ28EdQxrF1b-F6GBTGoGsnWnhnVvc_aem_nUVSyWGSUWVQURyUnee9hA

The Idea behind it is probably good, but that cover and Quo Logo is on a Par with the 'Thirsty Work' album for cheapness, really poor all round, the Band DID make some cracking B Sides/Extra Tracks post '86 but as we all know, most should have been included on the Official album releases but weren't (Was it the Record Company or Francis not wanting it that way?) and we got plenty of Album filler Rossi/Frost tracks or dodgy covers as a result. Looking back it was poor Management in not dictating what was eventually selected by the Record Companies? Will I buy it? Yes, but rather like the several Quo compilations, this new CD is half hearted at Best

The weirdness around the logo is that the holes on the a, q an o are solid whereas they shouldn’t be as the depth of the other letters isn’t that deep

Don’t Waste My Time (’98 Version). 98ft version! That's got to be the extended version.

Only just seen this. Quite happy those tracks are getting another release, I always put off buying the Benzin im Blut soundtrack CD (which doesn't include "Obstruction Day" and "Analyse Time" anyway) though I did get the ITAN CD single specifically for the re-recordings of DWMT and WYW.
It's true that tracks 6-9 overlap with the deluxe editions of HT and Riffs but if you don't have those, I think this could be a good companion piece. Looks like they avoided the tracks that were included on the UTI reissues, though.

Do we know the source of the tracks? Or are they simply ripped from their respective original CDs and then compiled into this one CD? These tracks would benefit from a proper mastering job.
