A day of the last (Booked) Gig of the SQ24 at Taunton Vivary Park arrives, beforehand I'm off to the Quo Tributes Gig with Break The Rules and The Quo Story at The Ale House, Station Road, Taunton for 3 Hours of Quo music 3-6pm (Sold Out btw) Weather forecast is looking good for the Gig too, if it is the end 'Live' for The Quo, it's been a blast, and I thank all Members past and present for their contributions through the decades, no business like Quo business indeed, and no other Band/Artist comes close to The Quo For those who will be there, enjoy accordingly, and to the many people who've I met through the decades (including those no longer with us) it's been great meeting and talking 'Quo' with you Best Band Ever

Great sentiments 👍 It's been something of a journey, to say the least I'm not sure there is a fanbase like us. Anywhere. Although loyal fans of other long standing bands will probably disagree. Not bad for a band that gave up touring 40 years ago this year Right, I can get on with my life now. What's left of it

What's left of it Yeah, we’re quite a bunch & have been for a very long time ( some way more than me ) so whilst i’m nowhere near Taunton today & will be at an entirely different gig in Edinburgh tonight i shall toast the lads over the course of the day… if i can afford Festiival beer prices that is…👍🍺

THEY WILL BE A BAND AS NORMAL, ALRIGHT?
Imagine, 40 years on from their last 'last' gig.

I think it's a "Till death do us part" contract for all involved whatever side of the stage you're on. Paper Plane was the first one for me followed by Piledriver. That's a name isn't it, you get the oddly named Ma Kelly's and DOTH and then some genius say's "We'll call this one Piledriver".I can't describe the effect the whole thing has had on me.
I owe them so much.

I suppose it is the end... Facebook post:"That’s a wrap!
You, the Quo Army, did us proud. Thank you to every one of you for coming out and supporting us on #SQ24 and all the tours that came before.
Thank you, Taunton and goodnight."

Saturday morning here in Australia, and I just looked here and read your post QI. Yes it appears that is it the end. I wonder if Francis made special mention of it or simply walked off with no fuss? I first became a fan in ‘75 and Quo really hasn’t left my soul ever since….as Railroad said we’re basically locked in Till Death Do Us Part. I remember, at 16, being hooked in with Down Down then a few months later buying On The Level with my hard earned milk run savings much to my Dad’s disgust. He said ‘you’re kidding me, why buy that rubbish you’re better off saving for a house! All music these days sounds the same, they won’t last long’ Wrong, Dad,(he died 20 years ago), after almost 50 years Quo are still my favourite band and I still enjoy looking at those OTL inner sleeve photos of the band. Well done Quo but I’ve learned Francis can never say never.😉

I would love to, don't get me wrong, but we don't know where Francis will be health or ability-wise in two years time. Or who knows? That is what might come into consideration when the time comes. If he feels he could do another tour when he's 77, then you never know, but I do think they have decided to bow out quietly.

As someone on Facebook pointed out... If tonight was indeed their last show, it's very fitting that it took place not too far from Butlins Minehead.

I haven't read anything about this tour being recorded or filmed. If it is the end, it sounds like it would be a good thing to market and release. But then that suggests 'farewell' and the door has never been completely closed. So I'd get it if they just slipped away without any fanfare.

To be fair, at this point it's getting a bit like Triggers broom.

What an absolute belter of a gig! I saw people last night I’ve not seen for years. There were some things happen that for me says it was the end. Andy May went round the crew just before Quo came on stage and shook everyone’s hand. Never seen that before. Richie was really giving it some last night, a nod to Rick at the end of little lady, Rhino almost had to drag him off stage at the end he was lapping it all up, looked like he just didn’t want it to end. The boys from TQE, TQS and Benjay were really giving it some with the rest of the carnage down the front during the encore. If that was really the end, what a way to go. Almost full circle to Minehead, at the top of your game and on fire. Status Quo, Thank you!
