I have the cd, cant remember where I bought it, but it must have been in the very early nineties. Never knew that it was released on vinyl also though.
Haven’t heard it for ages, but I seem to remember that there’s a new version of RAOTW? Maybe the Running All Over the World recording but with original lyrics?

They were having a half-arsed crack at breaking the American market again with this were they not? "Remember us?" and "here we are with a new [potentially American-pleasing] sound" - which a hybrid of ITAN and AC could pass as?
And right enough, Running All Over The World changed to the original 'Rockin'...' lyrics.

I remember this coming out in 1989. A mixture of Army & AC with a reworking of Rockin’ thrown into the mix. It was an official release on Mercury records for the US market.

Weirdly it passed me by, and I used to buy all there was available. But it was 1989 before the Internet, so it's passed under the radar here I guess as it was a US only release. I would have bought it had I knew about it. Looks like I got some catching up to do. I do remember buying a triple greatest hits cd in the Philippines that I haven't seen since anywhere. It covers the bands whole career up until roughly the Thirsty Work period, and remastered. Very high quality sound I must say. But I can't find it online anywhere since. Looks official, but an Asian release. |
