Can anyone remember if this came sealed back in the day when it came out? I can only remember that I received all 3 versions that Christmas but don't remember them being sealed, the reason I ask is cos I got a sealed one today and don't know whether to open it or not.  |

I've just taken the seal off and noticed that LPs 1&3 have the grey/white label, but LP2 is a black label.

Weird how someone thought it a good idea to put different coloured labels in each box. In the one I got today, 2 of the LPs are in white sleeves that say Home Taping Is Killing Music, but the other LP is in a plain white sleeve.
The LPs are mint though.

Not sure if it was official but I seen a red tin instead of blue at a record fare years ago, but it was £100, I didn't have enough money on me to buy it.
Anyone know anything about a red version?

Never heard of a red tin. The only other one I can think of was the special edition, gold I think, presented to Prince Charles after the NEC gig.
I only ever bought the tin at the time. Never bothered with the box. Didn't play it much either what with it being a compilation and a live LP and I tended to watch the video more than listen to the album. So I suspect mine will be mint as well. Although those crinkly inner sleeves (if I remember rightly) wouldn't help preserve the vinyl I shouldn't think.

I've tried googling about it, but can't find anything out about it. I'm now wondering if someone just sprayed it red, and tried saying it was rare. If so it was professionally done. |
