Ok folks, just a bit of light hearted fun, not to be taken too seriously, but I thought my rendition of the Perfect Remedy seems to give it a bit of boost. I've included the B sides of the day, and altered the track sequence to make it flow better, we'll in my opinion anyway.
I've even changed the title to The Power Of Rock.
See what you think here:

I would trim it down to an EP:
The Power Of Rock Perfect Remedy Man Overboard Little Dreamer
And that is still perhaps one track too many.

I like blondes don't lie and the way I am
So I'd add that to Col's EP for half an album.
Theres been lots or threads over the years for how albums in this period could have been better with different running order or swapping tracks with b sides, better artwork etc. Why? Because every album from Army to UTI had really frustrating things about them
This is probably why loved HT so much. There was nothing about it at all that made me wince

The artwork was really good it is a shame they didn’t save it for Rock til you drop as visually makes more sense tied to that album..

Well, that was quite the welcome to something I'd never heard before. What the actual f***? I'm so glad not to be a completist and this load of c*** has made it painfully clear I don't want to listen to any of these songs ever again. The spotify list is merciful as it only plays snippets, but I could only get to Address Book. Those on here that like to speculate on this sort of thing are welcome to their debate, trying to improve this album by changing the songs' order or getting some B-sides in, but it's not for me. There might be a decent single in there somewhere, but I won't bother. Life is too short. (My advice for an alternative album title.)

Light hearted fun? Pretty cruel on us if you ask me It's not a great album. To put it mildly. But I'm probably one of the few that has a soft spot for Address Book. It's a terrific little country song that would be revered (and been a hit single) had it been done by any other act that commanded some respect. The Power of Rock tries too hard. And The Voice was not a distant memory at the time. The entire album peters out with the final 3 tracks and it was hardly gung-ho stuff up to that point. I was decorating my flat getting it ready to sell when I first listened to the album and I remember to this day that I'd stopped listening and my mind was wandering long before the end. That had never happened before. Who knew painting a living room wall could be more interesting than a new Quo album?

It seems that it was albums to promote tours rather than the other way round but the Rolling Stones had been doing that since “some girls” I suppose???
