We recently passed the 30th anniversary of Status Quo performing at the Royal Albert Hall, London, in the presence of H.R.H. The Prince of Wales (for the second time). Over £70,000 was raised from the concert for The Prince's Trust and Capital Radio's "Help a London Child" appeal.

I was there, was it really 30 years ago?! I seem to remember What You're Proposing being really powerful and Prince Charles staying right until the end of the encore.
Me, my gf and a mate somehow managed to be in a box to the right-hand side of the stage. I'm not sure how / why because I'm sure I wouldn't have booked a box. We were so close to the stage that Francis kept running over to us and chatting. It was a great night and the band were really on form.

Here's What You're Proposing from a very old / poor remaster I did of the show. New one to be available soon via Status Quo Rescued Recordings

I think you're right, but I'm not sure if I actually paid for it!! Was the gig for fan club members only or something?

Me and a mate drove down from York in his old red Cortina Estate and drove back straight after. We were just near the mixing desk and a bloke appeared with a decibel meter and it said 108! Afterward we saw Francis at the stage door as he got into the car and he commented how loud it was so I told him it was 108! He also thought we were daft driving all that way. Frightening that 30 years has gone so fast
