Miami Vice theme tune. One For The Money was horrible in 1988 and it has aged like milk since then.

Not good, another attempt at tapping into the 80s excess produced sound no harm in embracing that a bit but its just not a very good song unfortunately.

The worst thing they ever recorded, and that's saying something.

Going to go against the grain a bit here and not exactly sing it's praises but I don't mind it at all.
I like the drumming and the bass work is excellent. It felt quite modern at the time. A departure from the same old.
Maybe a bit more Level 42 than some would like but it was far from the worst track on the album.
6/10

As I sit here typing I honestly cannot recall anything about this particular track, so perhaps it’s as well I leave it like that. Thank you.

Don't mind it.
An attempt at something different. Fine by me. It's the same country song Francis has written for 40 years where my problem lies. Same bass lines, same theme of lyrics, same drums, same strumming patterns etc.

I think this was just another attempt at trying to become a completely different sounding band. Sort of shake off the Quo of old.
And to think it worked!! I remember playing this to mates at the time, non Quo fans I must add, but not just this track, most of the Ain't Complaining album, and they all said who's this?
A couple recognised Francis voice on a couple tracks, but One for the money really had them wondering who it was.
Do I like One for the money, ummm it's not that bad 😉
