1. Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon 2. Dog Of Two Head 3. Piledriver 4. Hello 5. Quo 6. On The Level 7. If You Can't Stand The Heat 8. Back To Back 9. Thirsty Work 10. In Search Of The Fourth Chord 11. Quid Pro Quo What do you think they would be? You just know Piledriver would end up being a ballad! I could see Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon being a bluesy number, Dog Of Two Head has a quirky, experimental and trying to be different feel about it. Hello I reckon would be typical catchy, the postman could whistle it, Rossi tune. On The Level, Heat and Back To Back all out rockers. In Search Of The Fourth Chord potentially the most creative. Hopefully plenty of guitar work anyway. On the flip side, does anybody have any alternate Quo album titles that they think would have worked well? For example I think Don't Waste My Time would have been a great alternate title for Piledriver. Instead of Quo you could have had Breaking The Rules - with single Break The Rules. One that would have been simple and effective from the 21st century in my view would be Let's Rock instead of Quid Pro Quo, with that track also being the leading and only single. Always felt that track could have been good advertising anthem for one of the big music festivals.

We'll soon find out as somebody will set AI to work on it Never thought of that. Dare we look! The one with the artwork the other week was quite cool in places. On the alternate album names, I remember seeing a clip of Rick saying that the soon to be released Whatever You Want album was going to be called Indecent Exposure, but I don't know if that he was being serious or just having a laugh! Clip below.

I seem to recall that the Heat album was originally going to be called 'As It Happens' - I must have read that somewhere at the time...but it was a long time ago! Just wondered if that rang a bell with anyone else?

I could really imagine Back to Back as a cheesy rock/pop song. The words forming part of the chorus going something like this:
And its back to back, to back we go. Back on the road , back on the to and fro'ooo.
Heads down and back to back.
Throw in Andys keys and Bernie singing Back to back as BVs at every given opportunity.
Its a hit with a silent s isnt it ?

Of course, good old Dr Feelgood - perhaps they got wind of the idea down at the Kursall

Yeah, Whatever You Want was to be As It Happens but, as said, Dr Feelgood put the mockers on that. Great title for a live album by the way. Nice one 👍 The working title for Blue For You was The Tuppenny Ha'penny Dance Band believe it or not. I remember reading that in the music mags at the time while they were announcing the tour. I even went and asked for it in a record shop!* I wonder where some of these album titles come from. I know the stories behind Ma Kelly and Dog but not so much the rest. *( Bruces in Rose Street, 4th Chord )

Thanks Kursaal (correct spelling this time ); Glad I'm not imagining it! That must have been where I saw it way back when - in the Heat tour programme. Funny how incidental bits of trivia stick in the back of your mind.

Perfect Remedy was originally going to be called 'So Very, Very Tired.'. Don't quote me, but I seem to remember reading the Perfect Remedy album was to be called Not At All. I think The Power Of Rock sounds better, but the songs wouldn't live up to it. Besides The Power Of Rock was the last track to be recorded, done at the last minute, almost not making the album. Not sure how I remember all this stuff.

Isn't there already a song If you cant stand the heat (get out of the kitchen) Not by Quo obviously, but someone I can't think who at the moment.
