As with most of Rhino's albums, there are the obvious ones. The Quo style soundalikes. Most of us would go for those. But he always throws in different styles. Leftfield stuff like Caravan Man and Spooning, which is all lounge easy listening and brushes. I pay no attention to Classic Rock reviews. Any rag that gives Kiss 9 or 10 stars for anything other than retiring can safely be ignored

Is the album is listenable in spotify or similar? Because I'm not sure if buying the album for the possible costs from UK to Spain, but I'm curious.

Listened to half the album and it's great. Worth the buy.

Having heard about the lyrics, even more reason not to listen to it.
Comes across as a bitter old man. I’m sure in his head, he thought he was funny.

Didn't pre-order this, but having liked the few tunes that Rhino put out, Never Too Old To Rock And Roll, My Side Of The Road, Limbo and Good Evening Primrose, I've ordered a copy of the cd today, so looking forward to hearing the rest full beans on a good system. I am on Amazon Music now, took me a while to pull away from all things physical, but only Never Too Old To Rock And Roll and Limbo are on there at the moment it seems. Makes sense I guess, until you shift a few Vinyl and cd. I've always tried and purchased a cd or vinyl from up and coming bands I see live, if you like them obviously. I went to see Elles Bailey last year and she had a lively band called Morganway supporting that night, so got one of albums on the night. Anyway, looking forward to hearing the rest of Rhino's Just Sayin'.

Just played it all the way through. I love it! Highlight on first listen (so it may change in time) is Taking Care Of Mary, which is a cracker, but I also love the 60's groovy cat vibe of Caravan Man. There's some very, very good playing on this album. Take a bow, especially Mr E, Freddie and Craig Joiner. The album has now replaced Hackney Diamonds as the mainstay of my playlist. Hackney diamonds has been on repeat here too. Amazing album.

I've listened to the cd all the way through a few times now and have really enjoyed it. If I was a musician and had recorded this I'd be proud of it. A nice blend of styles on the album, some good songs, good playing and sound. The album's got an overall quite uplifting feel to it, with most tracks at around 3 minute mark, it blasts along at pace. I really like Wizzie Lizzie LA, yep it reminds you of Lucille, but it's just so fun, it's catchy, it's groovy, just love it. On a side note, I always preferred Quo's brief Lucille on Anniversary Waltz to on Don't Stop, it had more balls, more energy, just sounded more punchy, what do other think? Another one I've really took an early shine to is One Way To Roll, can't help but smile! Nice 70's Quo vibe on My Side Of The Road and as has been mentioned, Never Too Old To Rock And Roll could have easily fitted on a Quo album and is a good tune. Can't Count Me Out and Hard Drinking Woman are two solid honest rockers that do the trick, while I love and agree with the message in the track The PC World, the overall tune is decent too. I briefly heard Good Evening Primrose on YouTube before my cd arrived and wasn't sure, but it works great on the album and is a lovely melodic tune which grows on you, well it has on me anyway after only 3-4 listens. Caravan Man actually reminded me a little of Innocence by Kirsty MacColl, a bit left field for some of you I'm sure and it probably sounds nothing like it does it? After listening to the story behind Taking Care Of Mary, I couldn't help but feel a touch of emotion myself when listening to it for the first time, without even knowing those involved. Rick said about Living On An Island something like, a bad time, but a good song came out of it, could say the same here. It's an uplifting tune and song from a sad situation. It's not easy coming up with new tunes and music all the time and we rightly judge Quo by high standards, because it's the standard they set for themselves, but I enjoyed Rossi's album with Hannah Rickard, more than his One Step At A Time album to be honest and I've enjoyed listening to Just Sayin' from Rhino probably more than his last one too. If you are a general rock n roll fan, a general Quo fan and don't mind some of the different styles Quo themselves have done over the years, then this album Just Sayin' from Rhino is well worth a listen. His best album? Most rounded, whatever that means? Most commercial? Well either way I like it, I'll push the 6/10 review up to a solid 7/10 for me.

Rhino's own personal favourite is Limbo and he says Freddie's solo still gives him shivers up his spine. Just sayin'

Ah yes I forgot to mention Limbo, solo sounds great and I do like the eerie and mysterious drawn out ending, sounds cool. Fits well with the song and overall feel of that track I reckon. The jazz lounge feel of Spooning, can't help but imagine the two Ronnies releasing that as a single with a b-side called forking! Tried And Tested, anyone else immediately think Something 'Bout You Baby I like was starting up? I did!

I like Spooning. That lazy, lounge jazz sound with those brushes instead of drumsticks. Good shout about The Two Ronnies though
