A throw away track of sorts on what is my favourite quo album, but it's never been a skipper. I've always enjoyed its groove.

It's OK not the best track on a brilliant album but not bad all the same🦆

Yeah this one has grown on me over the years. I don’t think it starts well but it picks up a great groove

Yeah, nice. A track I've always liked and it was maybe my favourite on the album for a while. It's like the Blue For You version of I Saw The Light. And, similarly, only played live on the one tour I think. The riff is nice and chunky and they were as tight as by this point. Great stuff

It's funny isn't it. Hearing this track again now, after all that's happened since, I can picture Rossi's pop preferences creeping in. Quo were so damn tight and heavy during this period that his influences were battling against the band's hard groove and rawness as a unit. Take out his fantastic solo, Ricks' driving guitars and the weight and heaviness of Alan and John's rhythm section - replace that with an eighties production and bring in Bowns keyboards and suddenly you have a Perfect Remedy number. I guess you could say that about a number of tracks but it seems to stand out here for some reason. Perhaps it's the name of the song that draw me to that. Oh yeah, I like the track Not my fave by any means but Blue for You is an album that can do no wrong. I love it to death.

Only the FF could do that. I can only agree, this song would be terrible if it had been recorded after NTL. I'm also thinking of songs like Run To Mummy. When Francis went poppy, the old band put oomph behind it. After NTL, oomph has been all too rare. Even with country Francis such as Fine Fine Fine, you can hear the energy of a great band - it's not my thing but I enjoy the bands energy and the snappy drum fills of the mid section I love S'YBIL, mess of blues and Dear John. They've got the oomph that later covers didn't get. Mmm. Was there a better mid paced shuffle after this?

Real drive and purpose to his playing, and it kind of got a bit limper from then on.
Having said that, Face The Music from the last album Backbone has some real fire... he's still got it when he wants to go for it.

A good song from a good album, but I've never understand why some people think the album is amazing.

A good song from a good album, but I've never understand why some people think the album is amazing. Well, for a start the album features Rick's best rock work (Rain and the full length mystery song). For studio sound, I think this is the best Quo ever had. I don't think there's a bad song on there. Like the 5 or so albums before it,it reached some new heights of greatness for for the band while keeping the overall quality extremely high. No album after this could really say that. It still sounds fresh today. How many albums around 50 years old do that?

John's best playing on a record. Some of the most interesting bass playing as well. Heavy, great production and developed ideas. Maybe some of their most advanced stuff according to chord structure and such.

Not their greatest album and not the greatest song on it.
But it's absolutely fine.
