AC/DC have just announced a tour later this year. 3rd and 7th July at Wembley stadium and for our Irish contingent they are playing Croke Park. Tickets go on sale Friday. Not sure if I can go yet!

I thought they'd chucked it a while back. Must've misread that. Brian Johnson had hearing issues or something. Evidently not From a 2022 BBC interview. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001fb1v"To enable him to perform live with AC/DC again, Johnson worked with audio expert Stephen Ambrose, who said he could help resolve the singer's hearing problems. Ambrose, who invented the wireless in-ear monitors that are widely used by touring artists today, claimed to have invented a new type of ear-bud that would allow Johnson to perform without causing further damage to his eardrums. After three years of experimenting and "miniaturizing" the equipment, Johnson said the technology could allow him to tour again. "Stephen Ambrose, who did [the in-ear monitors], he put them in and was trying them, developing them," Brian said. "And I could see there was light at the end of the tunnel. But it was a long way off. And then the great thing was Angus [Young, AC/DC guitarist] phoned up and he just said, 'Hey, them in-ears working?' I said, 'Brilliant.' He said, 'You wanna do an album?' I went, 'I'll be there yesterday.'"

Blimey, that is taking the p*ss! Suppose it's the going rate for a top artist now? Travel, food and of course booze, that's going to be north of £300 for most of us. Probably going to give it a miss.

Laughed when I read ‘iconic Aussie rockers AC/DC’ in the article promoting this tour. Only thing Aussie about them is Angus and the bands heritage. Even Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams have been replaced. It’s PANTO/DC now.

I can't justify the cost either. I wonder if there's a chance of them headlining download again? I wouldn't miss that

Me and AC/DC went our separate ways in the early 80's, I didn't like For Those About To Rock.
I have enjoyed the odd night out with them, but not since the turn of the century and the music they produced that I did enjoy, were their less successful releases (Flick Of The Switch, Fly On The Wall, Stiff Upper Lip).
Since Stiff Upper Lip we have only been on nodding terms, I have no impulse to go and see them again.
I'll play Let There Be Rock and Powerage, thank you.

I liked Back In Black although I had to acknowledge to myself it wasn't quite as good as what had come before. I did wonder how much of Bon was in that album. For Those About To Rock led to us parting company. In fact, that was the last time I saw them live. On that tour. First two tracks on The Razor's Edge have been the only things I've properly liked since. Typical me though. I go off the band just as they're conquering the planet. I was the same with Queen

I was the same with Queen Since when has quality equaled quantity? Queen, AC/DC, Aerosmith have all gone galactic the moment I realised it wasn't doing it for me. There's a Mr Rossi on the 'phone asking why I didn't do that with Quo! The Anniversary Waltz sold a stupid amount, sorry, doesn't make it better than ROLD, Mystery Song, Paper Plane, In My Chair or Tune To The Music.

I was the same with the Beatles when Stuart Sutcliffe left to be honest, and they lost me with 'Please Please Me'.
